"ORP Błyskawica"

ORP Błyskawica is the oldest surviving destroyer in the world. It is a Polish Grom class ship, otherwise known as a destroyer. It was put into service in the Navy in 1937. The ship took an active part in the activities of World War II in Europe throughout its duration. He fought in the Atlantic, North and Mediterranean Seas, taking part in the Norwegian campaign and the Dunkirk evacuation, the Battle of the Atlantic, Operations Torch and Overlord and the Battle of Ushant. His most recent activity ended with his participation in Operation Deadlight alongside the Allies. In 1946, the destroyer was taken over by the Royal Navy, and a year later it returned to the Polish flag. Since 1976, ORP Błyskawica has been moored at the Port of Gdynia as a museum ship. In 1987 he was awarded the Gold Cross of the Order of Virtuti Militari, and in 2012 with the "Pro Memoria" Medal.

From Tuesday to Sunday:
from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 until 17:00
(Cash from 10:00 to 24:20 and 14:00 to 16:20)

Tickets

Normal ticket - 12 PLN
Reduced ticket - 6 PLN
Family ticket - 20 PLN
Ticket for large families - 4 PLN (per family member). In the case when the family consists of more than five people recommend a family ticket.
